Futura Spiral Tech Tee
from the FuturaLab x Cinelli Cycling Gear Collection.
Futura emerged as one of the pioneering graffiti artists in the 1970s. His name stands up there with the Gods of street art: Keith Haring, Jean Michel Basquiat and Kenny Sharf. He is also a long time cycling enthusiast and urban cyclist. In 1997 he started his own studio, Futura Laboratories, collaborating with brands such as Nike, Supreme, Off White, BMW, Louis Vuitton and Uniqlo. This collection is the studio's latest creation.
This new collaboration “FUTURA LABORATORIES X CINELLI”, takes place against the backdrop of the recent bicycle boom in cities worldwide, from New York to London, Paris, Berlin, Tokyo, and of course Milano, a capital in bicycle design. One of the most dynamic innovators of graffiti intersects with the grandmaster of bicycle design. New York meets Milan. A genderless collection, designed for performance riding, urban and beyond.
The Spiral Tech Tee design recall, in a more graphic way, one of the most iconic Futura symbol: the spiral.
Made with a highly breathable fabric, this technical piece has been designed to follow the body movements, making it functional for a wide range of activities. The micro-perforated fabric on the side panels grants heat regulation at the highest intensity, while the front and back fabric is stretchy and quick drying. A hidden double-sided back pocket allows extra room for essentials, and let the entire Tee to fold into it. A Hi-Vis stripe enhances the visibility.
