Futura Domestiq Cycling Cap
from the FuturaLab x Cinelli cycling gear collection
Futura emerged as one of the pioneering graffiti artists in the 1970s. His name stands up there with the Gods of street art: Keith Haring, Jean Michel Basquiat and Kenny Sharf. He is also a long time cycling enthusiast and urban cyclist. In 1997 he started his own studio, Futura Laboratories, collaborating with brands such as Nike, Supreme, Off White, BMW, Louis Vuitton and Uniqlo. This collection is the studio's latest creation.
This new collaboration “FUTURA LABORATORIES X CINELLI”, takes place against the backdrop of the recent bicycle boom in cities worldwide, from New York to London, Paris, Berlin, Tokyo, and of course Milano, a capital in bicycle design. One of the most dynamic innovators of graffiti intersects with the grandmaster of bicycle design. New York meets Milan. A genderless collection, designed for performance riding, urban and beyond.
The name “Domestiq” is a celebration of a central character in the road cycling epic, the domestique, the rider who works for the benefit of their leader, rather than trying to win the race. It reflects Futura’s love for classic World Tour cycling.
